Key Responsibilities:

Brasfield & Gorrie is seeking a Lead Construction Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

Essential Duties include:

  • Formulate a comprehensive project business strategy.
  • Collaborate with on-site management to develop a tailored safety plan for the project.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Engineer and Architect.
  • Partner with Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to pinpoint and execute all contractual obligations, quality assessments, and reporting standards.
  • Design a detailed staging, logistics, and phasing strategy for the project.
  • Oversee subcontractor coordination.
  • Establish bonding and/or Subguard, change order logs, and cost monitoring for the project.
  • Initiate project setup in E1 and Prolog software.
  • Manage project initiation, including securing necessary permits and licenses, and overseeing jobsite mobilization.
  • Conduct subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup meetings.
  • Issue and manage subcontracts (payments, insurance, bonds, safety, hazardous communication, etc.) and purchase orders across various trades.
  • Assist in the development, planning, and continuous updating of the overall project timeline. Facilitate regular job scheduling meetings.
  • Take lead responsibility for the implementation and adherence to the project quality control plan.
  • Perform bi-weekly safety assessments with the project superintendent.
  • Prioritize, evaluate, and expedite submittals.
  • Ensure timely material deliveries in accordance with project schedule requirements.
  • Maintain accurate labor forecasts by collaborating with Superintendents on quantity updates.
  • Develop and manage change orders for subcontractors and purchase orders.
  • Review projections, labor reports, safety documentation, and schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Assess and approve material/equipment invoices in line with the project budget.
  • Prepare payment requests and oversee collections.
  • Engage with city and state agencies for project reviews and inspections.
  • Participate in OAC progress meetings and generate monthly status reports.
  • Input and update data in project management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, and RFIs).
  • Oversee and manage job close-out documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final job report, and final accounting).
  • Mentor and guide assistant project managers and co-op/intern students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in performing Assistant Project Manager responsibilities.
  • Experience overseeing all facets of construction projects, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Familiarity with Prolog and other construction management software.
  • Basic understanding of financial accounting systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Conflict resolution proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
