Job Summary:

The Administrative Coordinator for the Ethics Department at National Board for Certified Counselors Inc. performs day-to-day administrative tasks, responds to daily communication, prepares ethics documentation and correspondence, and provides support in accordance with established departmental processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides administrative support to the Ethics Director.
  • Supports the Ethics Department functions in accordance with established departmental processes.
  • Receives and forwards communications appropriately on a daily basis.
  • Finalizes outgoing Ethics Department correspondence, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensures all communications, incoming and outgoing, are properly documented and filed.
  • Performs day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining information files, drafting office memos, and processing paperwork.
  • Documents future follow-ups and ensures timely review by the coordinator.
  • Manages electronic and hard copy files, ensuring current and consistent maintenance.
  • Conducts research as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Ethics Department.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • 5 years' experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to work from home if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid - Primarily onsite with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Physical Demands:
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to use hands, including hand-eye coordination.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
