Job Summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Financial Aid Executive Director to join our team. As the chief financial aid administrator, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight to our student financial aid operations, ensuring that we deliver exceptional service to our students and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the student financial aid team, ensuring that we meet our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective financial aid strategies to support student enrollment, retention, and graduation.
  • Collaborate with university partners to create customized financial aid programs for underserved populations.
  • Advise university administration on changes in federal and state financial aid policies and programs.
  • Ensure that financial aid policies and procedures are in compliance with financial aid laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in student financial aid, with a proven track record of success in a complex environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a large professional staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial aid trends and best practices, with the ability to apply data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Experience with financial aid software and technology, with the ability to lead innovation and process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at a land grant or flagship public university, with a demonstrated commitment to student financial aid and enrollment management.
  • Knowledge of financial aid laws, rules, and regulations, with the ability to advise university administration on complex issues.
  • Experience with financial aid software and technology, with the ability to lead innovation and process improvement initiatives.
