The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) is dedicated to providing accessible and quality education. We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Industrial Education Instructor.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and delivering courses tailored to meet the needs of local industries in technical areas such as Mechatronics, Industrial Safety, PLCs, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Fluid Power, and Process Control. Proficiency in utilizing Amatrol class materials and equipment is essential.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

  • Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build professional relationships and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Creativity and computer literacy.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in teaching within a manufacturing context.
  • An Associate Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
