We are seeking a skilled ALS Instructor to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for teaching American Heart Association (AHA) courses, including Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Your expertise will help our students develop the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Teach ALS courses to students, adapting your teaching style to meet their individual needs.
- Remediate and evaluate students' performance to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Travel to off-site locations to conduct courses, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensure the security and maintenance of training equipment, adhering to our Life Support Training Center dress code.
- Participate in instructor meetings and updates, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external customers, maintaining constructive relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Clinical experience in an emergency, critical care, or field setting.
- A valid driver's license.
Prior experience as an educator or instructor, particularly in ALS, ACLS, or PALS education, is highly desirable.
