Collaborating closely with HR leadership and operational management, this role is essential in formulating strategies to address the evolving needs of the airport workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver HR services tailored to the operational needs of the business.

- Provide guidance to management on employee performance and disciplinary matters.

- Conduct thorough internal investigations, address grievances, and recommend appropriate employment actions in line with company policies and legal standards.

- Oversee recruitment processes, ensuring accurate job postings, reviewing applications, and coordinating preliminary interviews for candidates.

- Manage the onboarding experience for new hires, including background checks, scheduling necessary appointments, and ensuring completion of required documentation.

- Support performance management initiatives and compensation processes, while maintaining awareness of market pay practices for hourly employees.

- Collaborate with the HR management team to enhance policies and processes for improved HR operations.

- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all details such as contact information, job classifications, and compensation are up-to-date.

- Review and manage changes in employment status, payroll deductions, and other HRIS updates.

- Administer employee benefits programs, including the collection and submission of necessary information for health, dental, and other benefits.

- Assist with HR audits, including compliance reviews and necessary filings.

- Stay informed on relevant national and local laws/regulations that impact HR functions.

- Handle employment verifications, unemployment claims, and related inquiries as needed.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Decision-Making Authority:

This position requires daily judgment in administering HR programs and providing information to both managers and employees. For significant decisions that may deviate from established policies, consultation with senior HR management is necessary.

Qualifications:

To effectively fulfill the essential duties of this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, coupled with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with best practices in hiring and HR operations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees and stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS software, and related tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred.
