Job Description:
As a Medical Administration Specialist at Actalent, you will play a critical role in providing medical administration support to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain referrals or prior authorizations for patients to see specialty providers. You will be responsible for processing authorization and referral requests, coordinating with health plans and contracted providers, and supporting Case Management staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process authorization and referral requests
- Coordinate with health plans and contracted providers
- Support Case Management staff
- Provide medical administration support to clients
Requirements:
- Data entry experience
- Knowledge of payers and medical terminology
- Authorization/case management experience preferred
- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Ability to type 55 or more WPM
- Soft skills: good communication, teamwork, conflict management/resolution, adaptable to change
Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position. Must be open to rotating weekends. Shift: Day 5x8-Hour - MAY VARY.
