Credit Administration Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Administration Specialist to support the management of our commercial loan portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of routine analytical and administrative functions, ensuring adherence to Bank, Federal, and State regulations. This position requires knowledge of commercial lending, regulations, documentation, and the ability to audit and resolve discrepancies to meet expected standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in various loan administration duties, utilizing various systems to generate and verify accuracy of reports.
2. Assist in researching information, compiling data, and handling projects related to the commercial loan portfolio.
3. Review commercial loan approvals, reporting, and scanning into the Bank's electronic documentation solution.
4. Process incoming financial statements, including covenant analysis, default reporting, and scanning into the Bank's electronic documentation solution to ensure loan covenants are adhered to and financial risk is managed appropriately.
5. Monitor and generate coming due and past due tickler reports, reminder letters and emails to customers to include default reporting.
6. Perform a monthly quality review/post-closing audit to ensure terms and conditions of the loan approval align with the business loan agreement and necessary portfolio-monitoring activities have been implemented according to the Bank's established standards.
7. Assist with monitoring monthly borrowing base certificates to ensure collateral coverage is adequate.
8. Assist with scheduling and preparing reports for loan committee.
9. Assist with monthly and quarterly board reports.
10. Provide support with ordering and reviewing third-party reports (appraisal, environmental, seismic, property inspections, collateral examinations, etc.).
11. Assist in the management of third-party vendor panels.
12. Amend loan policy modifications under the guidance of the CCO and Credit Manager to include tracking.
13. Provides backup to the Administration Department as needed.
Requirements
1. Knowledge of Bank lending policies, procedures, and practices.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including good presentation skills.
3. Ability to read and write general reports, financial statement spreadsheets, and other correspondence.
4. Ability to read and accurately interpret numerical graphs, financial data, and charts.
5. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, multiplication, and division, and accurately compute ratios, percentages, and payments.
6. Ability to use Word, Excel, and specialized computer hardware and software solutions.
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in business or finance from an accredited college or equivalent experience desired.
2. Two years of experience in credit administration analysis within a banking/lending environment preferred.
3. Familiarity with document imaging systems preferred.
