Position Overview:
As a Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the firm's software solutions that support our global operations. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing high-quality, scalable technology solutions that utilize both proprietary and open-source services.

In this role, you will take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing (unit, integration, and regression), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment. Collaborating with internal teams, you will create comprehensive solution designs that meet both internal and regulatory standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying innovative external technologies that can transform our financial services and internal platforms in disruptive ways. Your work will encompass all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring robust testing suites are designed and maintained to deliver safe, complete, and scalable solutions across our business lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of software solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and design of new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements throughout the development process.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required, along with five (5) years of relevant experience in the software engineering field.

Your prior experience should include a comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support. Proficiency in native application development and lifecycle management, as well as familiarity with application stores and resource management, is essential.

Experience with programming languages such as Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin for Android, along with tools and frameworks like UIKit/SwiftUI for iOS or Layouts/Jetpack Compose for Android, is also required. Additionally, you should have at least two (2) years of experience in mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) development and API design and versioning.


Compensation:
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is between $215,000 and $300,000.

Eligible employees may also receive a discretionary bonus based on performance.
