Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our EP lab team, you will provide clinical and technological assistance to our Electrophysiologists in performing complex invasive electrophysiology studies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Electrophysiologists with all procedures in the EP lab, including implanted devices and arrhythmia ablations.
  • Provide patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of pertinent information related to their procedure.
  • Perform arrhythmia ablations, assist in geometric mapping, and implantation of cardiac devices.
  • Assist during electrophysiology procedures in the role of a circulating technologist, scrub technologist, or monitoring technologist.
  • Safe and proper equipment setup and operation, as well as related recognition and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field, or successful completion of a Radiological Technologist program.
  • One year of related cardiovascular technology work experience, demonstrating attainment of requisite job knowledge and abilities.
  • Current licensure as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) through the Washington State Department of Health, and current Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS) as issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
