We are seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a key member of our EP lab team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and technological assistance to our Electrophysiologists in performing complex invasive electrophysiology studies and procedures.
Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the physician with all procedures in the EP lab, including implanted devices and arrhythmia ablations. You will also provide patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of all pertinent information related to their procedure.
Work involves the application of scientific principles related to clinical electrophysiology to provide technical support and patient care services. You will apply your knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, electrical technique, and interventions being performed to monitor the patient for potential/actual physiological and behavioral changes intra-procedure and intervene appropriately within scope of licensure.
Requirements include an Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field, or successful completion of a Radiological Technologist program, and one year of related cardiovascular technology work experience. Current licensure as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CVIS) through the Washington State Department of Health and current Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification (RCIS) as issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) are also required.
