Position Summary

The Housekeeping Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations and public areas, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrive at work in a professional and well-groomed manner, adhering to company standards.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms and report any discrepancies to the management.
  • Distribute cleaning supplies and room keys to housekeeping staff.
  • Provide training and guidance to housekeeping personnel.
  • Assign tasks and supervise staff to ensure consistent service quality.
  • Ensure all magazines and informational materials are current and well-presented.
  • Monitor supply usage to minimize waste and ensure safety compliance.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up on repairs.
  • Conduct daily room status inspections and spot-check occupied rooms.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions as necessary, following established procedures.
  • Assist in laundry operations and be prepared to step in as needed.
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
  • Prioritize room assignments and update the front desk on room availability.
  • Perform final inspections of completed work and manage special projects as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in housekeeping and supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
Supervision Structure

Supervision Given: Direct oversight of housekeeping staff, including training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
Supervision Received: Works under the guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, with regular checks on task completion.

Work Environment

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and kneeling. The role involves working indoors, with some exposure to outdoor conditions. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs is required.
