Position Summary:Western Digital is seeking a dedicated Communications Specialist to enhance its Internal Communications team within Global Corporate Marketing. This role involves supporting internal communications throughout the organization by developing and delivering engaging content for employee-focused channels, with an emphasis on an innovative, social-media-inspired approach. As a vital member of the content team, you will be responsible for sourcing, creating, and disseminating content that aligns with the company's strategic objectives to inform, inspire, and engage employees.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development of content and narratives for intranet, news, and social media platforms, fostering creative and engaging communication methods.
- Provide writing and messaging support across various formats, including emails, FAQs, social media updates, and other internal communications.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions, content strategy formulation, and execution for Internal Communications, including drafting, editing, and promoting content.
- Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on content and campaigns.
- Monitor trends in the social media landscape, sharing insights with the team and recommending strategic adjustments as necessary.
- Oversee daily digital operations, including SharePoint management, mailers, and employee video channels.
- Compile and analyze metrics reporting for communication channels.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven interest in crafting a contemporary internal communications strategy.
- Exceptional writing, editing, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Adept at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating both abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to maintain composure and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgment.
- Strong listening skills and a self-starter mentality.
