About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Urban Planning Coordinator to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for applying planning strategies to gather and analyze data, assess outcomes, and develop reporting and visuals to effectively communicate findings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and collect raw data, organize, analyze, and provide review of the data for use in projects and for further analysis.
  • Perform project analysis using technical guidance and software.
  • Assist project team members with various support tasks such as development of maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting.
  • Conduct research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning.
  • Assist in the development of conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation planning projects.
  • Perform tasks related to the preparation and production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in stakeholder and public participation process.
  • Maintain records, collections, and files related to specific projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field.
  • Previous work experience in planning through an internship or prior employment.
