POSITION SUMMARY
The PRS Case Manager (Level II) is required to possess expertise in trauma-informed care, child welfare methodologies, and case management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in crafting comprehensive assessment reports. The Case Manager should be well-versed in local social services, community engagement, and have experience working with a variety of populations. This role involves facilitating family preservation, kinship care, and collaborating with local resource providers to deliver post-release services for children and their sponsors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a fluctuating caseload of post-release services (Levels I & II).
- Assist in preparing comprehensive home study reports to evaluate risk, safety, and suitable placements for children.
- Adhere to US and ORR policies, procedures, and mandated timelines.
- Collaborate with care providers to verify and assess the need for additional information for successful sponsorship.
- Evaluate the sponsor's capability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the child.
- Identify and recommend additional support, resources, or information required to meet a child's needs.
- Maintain regular communication and conduct virtual and in-person home visits with children and sponsors.
- Utilize trauma-focused approaches and brief therapeutic techniques in interactions with children and their sponsors.
- Provide ongoing case management services through assessments, planning, evaluation, facilitation, and psychoeducation.
- Ensure proper documentation, safeguard confidential records, and protect personally identifiable information according to program regulations.
- Report concerns related to children and sponsors, including significant incidents, to the program and ORR, acting as a mandated reporter for abuse/neglect.
- Engage in training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives as recommended.
- Travel as necessary for in-person home studies and post-release visits in various locations.
- Perform related duties as assigned, adapting to meet program needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field (education, psychology, sociology, or other behavioral sciences).
- At least 1 year of case management experience.
- Proficient in writing detailed assessment reports and working with immigrant populations, providing trauma-informed clinical interventions for youth.
- Knowledgeable in family preservation, kinship care, trauma-informed practices, child welfare policies, and relevant laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with families, caseworkers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for in-person visits.
