Job Title: Cardiac Device Monitoring Coordinator

At VHC Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Monitoring Coordinator to join our team. As a Cardiac Device Monitoring Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate monitoring of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) for patients within our Cardiology Service Line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all remote and in-person cardiac device monitoring activities, including prior authorizations, device interrogation report monitoring, and coordination of reports for Cardiology Providers.
  • Monitor patient device checks for timely accuracy, every three (3) months remotely, and every one (1) year in person, effectively and efficiently reporting findings and changes to overseeing Physicians.
  • Serve as the administrator for all cardiac device brand websites and monitor for batteries approaching end of life in implanted loop recorders and pacemakers.
  • Oversee the downloading, indexing, and routing of reports to Cardiologists for review and action.
  • Develop excellent relationships with vendor representatives to ensure ease of patient scheduling outside of normal device check schedules.
  • Responsible for ensuring all patients are compliant with device check frequency and monitors interim reports for timely Cardiology Provider coordination should there be a reported patient cardiac event.
  • Serve as a liaison with Cardiology Providers and promote patient education on the purpose of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices and requirements for routine monitoring.
  • Communicate with patients and vendors to assist enrolling, troubleshooting, and ordering equipment to ensure remote connectivity and continuity of care.
  • Promote the completion of timely, concise, and accurate documentation for Physician's final review.
  • Escalate device problems to the attention of Providers and document within CIED database and with manufacturer.
  • Oversee remote CIED monitoring, including scheduling (in-person and remote), downloading clinical information, analyzing transmissions, and importing to database for physician review.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Two years of Cardiac Device Monitoring experience required.
  • Two years of Healthcare/Medical - Medical Office experience required.
