About the Role

Reddit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close deliverables to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of the monthly flux analysis for management review, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to drive business decisions.
  • Audit Support: Prepare audit support for external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Accounting Policies and Procedures: Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Internal Controls: Perform internal control procedures (SOX) in areas of responsibility, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal controls.
  • Process Improvements: Drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational enhancements.
  • System Implementations: Assist in any accounting-related system implementations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects, analysis, and reporting as required by management, providing expert accounting guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and private industry experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Certifications: CPA (or on track to be certified) strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX required, excellent attention to detail and analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Adaptability: Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Team Player: Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides) required.
