Job Summary:

Tandym Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our team. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns and workpapers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Tax Preparation: Prepare and review corporate and partnership Federal, State, and Local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Quarterly Tax Provision: Gather underlying data and prepare detailed schedules in conjunction with our external tax advisors as part of the quarterly tax provision and year-end tax compliance process.
  • US and Foreign Tax Provisions: Prepare and review US and foreign income tax provisions on a quarterly basis, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Tax Estimate Calculations: Prepare corporate and partnership tax estimate calculations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Tax Audit Support: Assist the Tax Department and external tax advisors on federal, state, and local tax audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Tax Calendar and Compliance: Maintain tax calendar and compliance filing matrix, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Indirect Tax Filings: Prepare and review indirect tax filings, including sales and use, commercial rent returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Tax Compliance Automation: Assist the Tax Department with tax compliance automation and systems implementation initiatives to streamline the tax reporting process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of work experience in Corporate and Partnership Tax.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Tax Compliance software (Go-System, Corptax, Vertex, SuperForm), proven computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Teams, Zoom), strong analytical and research skills, great interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong attention to detail, and highly organized.
