Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, complemented by 8 years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.

Security Clearance:
A Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory at the time of employment. Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work performed.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in web solutions (LAMP stack) at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will collaborate within a cross-functional team dedicated to the development of enterprise-level systems, specialized Linux OS (PitBull) integration, cross-domain solutions, and mission support for our clients.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in SaaS-based application development, DevSecOps practices, LAMP stack, and proficiency with RDMSs such as Postgres and Oracle.


Key Skills:

Possession of DOD Certification, demonstrated proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript), as well as other scripting languages (e.g., HTML5, CSS, JSON, PHP) and SQL scripting.


Strong understanding of development methodologies (e.g., DevOps, Agile, Software Development Lifecycle, etc.).

What Distinguishes You:
Advanced knowledge of the LAMP stack, a solid foundation (and eagerness to learn) in Python, PHP, JSON, SQL, JavaScript, Bash, and LAMP stack maintenance. Proficient in using git and adhering to software engineering best practices. Familiarity with government IT standards and security protocols. Current and active TS/SCI Clearance.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is USD $132,000 to USD $143,834.80 annually, depending on experience and other factors.
