Primary Responsibilities

The Unarmed Security Officer is tasked with delivering security services at designated sites, emphasizing vigilance and reporting. Key responsibilities include monitoring and documenting all activities, conducting foot and/or vehicle patrols, reporting any suspicious behavior, and maintaining detailed incident reports. The officer will enforce site rules, regulations, and respond to emergencies requiring security intervention.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to meet the minimum requirements of the role. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
  • Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct walking and/or vehicular patrols of the premises as required.
  • Identify and report security threats, unsafe conditions, or emergencies.
  • Perform site-specific duties which may include customer service, loss prevention, and various safety and security roles.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports during shifts, noting any unusual occurrences and resolutions.
  • Understand and implement all site-specific policies and emergency response protocols.
  • Adhere to company procedures, maintain attendance standards, and comply with grooming and customer service expectations.
  • Participate in all required training and orientation programs.
  • Respond to incidents during shifts in line with the Post Orders and the Company's Use of Force Policy, ensuring proper documentation and notification of relevant parties.
  • Carry out security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications

To successfully perform this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior military experience or education in the security field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service is desirable.
  • Must hold a valid registration/permit/license as mandated by state regulations.
  • Possession of a current state driver's license and a clean driving record may be required.
  • Reliable transportation or access to public transport is essential for punctuality.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
  • Energetic and focused with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels, including with clients.
