Job Title: DevOps Engineer III

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer III to join our remote DevOps team at Visual Lease LLC. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in innovating, driving, and owning our build and deployment pipelines, tools, and application configuration management as code.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build scalable, highly available, performant, and cost-effective infrastructure on the AWS platform using services such as EC2, RDS, Aurora, Containerized Services, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
  • Automate operational processes and system configuration using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform to enable immutable infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Foster a DevOps culture of shared responsibility, quality, and collaboration across teams.
  • Implement and enhance Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps to ensure rapid, automated feature delivery.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve operational efficiency and performance.
  • Utilize security tools to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, supporting security hardening, patch management, and compliance.
  • Manage production and non-production environments, including responding to incident escalations and fulfilling service requests within SLA timeframes.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Octopus Deploy.
  • 5+ years of experience of software engineering experience using languages such as C#.NET, Java, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), combined with at least one AWS Certification.
  • Most desired skills and Experiences:
    • Code/Build: Git/GitHub, Azure/VSTS, Jenkins
    • Scripting: Python, Powershell, Groovy, Bash, SQL, JSON, YAML
    • Observability: AWS Config, AWS Cloud Watch, New Relic, Datadog, Pagerduty
    • OS: Windows, Linux, Docker, Fargate
    • Automation & Orchestration: Ansible, Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation
    • Microservices architecture, Serverless, Containerization, RESTAPIs
    • Databases: SQLServer, Postgress, Amazon Aurora, RDS
    • Testing: Selenium, xUnit, RestSharp, SonarQube, Jmeter
    • SDLC: Experience with Scrum, Feature Flagging and trunk-based-development
  • Team lead experience preferred, with strong communication and influencing skills to support and guide technical teams
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline

Work Environment:
  • Our headquarter is in Woodbridge, NJ, but we will consider remote candidates in the following states: AZ, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, KS, MD, MA, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA.
  • Indoor office environment
  • Typical 9am-5pm office hours with occasional after-hours work
