Customer Service Representative

As a Customer Service Representative at Kroger, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment. You will be the face of our company, ensuring that customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Your role will involve answering questions about products, collaborating with associates, and promoting teamwork to achieve company goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products.
- Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
- Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards and to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products for which they inquire about.
- Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
- Recommend coffee shop items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
- Use all equipment in the coffee shop according to company guidelines.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell by dates.
- Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale, and steamer.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report all safety risks, issues, or illegal activity.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Any previous comparable experience.
