- Perioperative Support: Provide support to the anesthesia care team during surgical procedures, including setting up and maintaining anesthesia equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and assisting with patient positioning.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that supplies are properly stored and maintained.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including monitoring and reporting on equipment performance, patient safety, and other key metrics.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the anesthesia care team, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) as a Technologist.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center.
- Certifications: I.V. Certification or Anesthesia Technician Certificate from American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
