Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Job Summary:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to detect and treat diseases, using radioisotope equipment. You will also perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, coordinate patient flow, and maintain procedure quality control.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, including blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies.
  • Coordinate patient flow and maintain procedure quality control to ensure accurate and efficient results.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Obtain pertinent patient information and disseminate subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent: Preferred
  • State Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HI
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and OR
  • Venipuncture certification: Required in CA and HI
