We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer III to join our design team at IPS-Integrated Project Services, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will assist in planning, designing, and directing engineering projects within the business unit.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares design computations and quantity estimates for smaller, less complex projects.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects.
  • Makes calculations using engineering formulas and skills for design.
  • Creates specialized drawings and selects equipment based on recommendations.
  • Provides drawings for own designs and produces sketches to incorporate in drawings by drafters.
  • Researches design options and documents findings.
  • Keeps Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
  • Provides information to the Project Manager for incorporation into specifications.
  • Researches code issues and asks general questions of code officials.
  • Organizes and maintains project files.
  • Assures that drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Registered professional engineer.
  • Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
  • General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline-related areas.
