Culinary Mastermind for Modern Asian Cuisine

Modern Asian Restaurant is seeking a skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a chef in upscale, high-volume restaurants and be familiar with menu development, food cost management, and labor control.

Job SummaryThe Executive Chef will be responsible for managing all kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items, and maintaining proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards. This includes coordinating the purchase of all food and menu development, maintaining food and labor costs, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies.

- Maintain food cost and labor control
- Develop and implement menus that showcase the best of Asian cuisine
- Train and develop staff to meet our high standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef in upscale, high-volume restaurants
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds
- Certification in NYC Food Protection License required
