Position Overview:
We are looking for a Project Management Assistant (PMA) to assist with our Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D) initiatives. The PMA will play a crucial role in managing specific tasks on-site, focusing primarily on D&D projects. This role may also involve stepping in for other key positions such as the Quality Control Systems Manager and Site Manager when necessary. The PMA will be an integral part of the Project Management Office (PMO), overseeing complex, multi-year projects by identifying and executing critical path and parallel work activities to ensure optimal performance. This position may require travel and long-term project assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain a comprehensive PMO capable of managing all project management aspects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
+ Lead the effective implementation of the Earned Value Management System, alongside risk management and planning.
+ Manage data administration for enterprise scheduling and resources.
+ Create corrective action plans for projects facing challenges.
+ Coordinate initial work planning and scoping in collaboration with operations and engineering to develop resource-loaded schedules and cost estimates.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with operations and project planners/schedulers.
+ Supervise daily project personnel activities, ensuring timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
+ Establish and oversee project safety and quality assurance programs.
+ Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage smaller projects in line with established policies and procedures.
+ Assist in planning and resolving interface issues with clients and production teams.
+ Collaborate with customer technical representatives to prepare Monthly Financial Reports, including Monthly Progress Reports.
+ Step into other key project roles as needed to maintain adequate staffing levels on-site.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Physical Science).
+ PMP Certification is preferred.
+ Qualification in USACE Contractor Quality Control Systems Management or the ability to obtain it.
+ At least 5 years of experience with Earned Value Management Systems and Primavera 6 or similar project management software.
+ Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
+ Background in operations, engineering design, and/or D&D/remediation, with nuclear experience preferred.
+ Experience in projects requiring a thorough understanding of EVMS, baseline management, ES&H, QA/QC, Conduct of Operations, and Engineering/Construction.
+ Minimum of 10 years of supervisory experience in project management for large, complex projects involving hazardous waste remediation and disposal, with a preference for nuclear and radiation-related experience.
+ Must possess a current DOE security clearance or the ability to obtain one; US Citizenship is required.
