Bilingual Case Aide Job Summary

Bethany Christian Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Case Aide to join our team. As a Bilingual Case Aide, you will be responsible for providing transportation to clients for medical appointments, legal appointments, and other social agencies. You will also assist with intake and discharge related transportation, provide language interpretation to clients, and supervise youth in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, legal appointments, and other social agencies.
  • Effectively report the behavior of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team.
  • Provide assistance with intake and discharge related transportation, including travel from state-to-state for reunification with a sponsor.
  • Assist the medical team with administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Provide language interpretation to clients for appointments out in the community, when needed.
  • Supervise youth in the classroom, when needed.
  • Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times on the job and especially when supervising youth.
  • Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish, required.
  • Knowledge of trauma and willingness to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services.
  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the US to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany.
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage.
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
  • Documentation of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases or the willingness to receive vaccination, or seek an exemption.
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
