Job Summary

Lakewood Apartments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial and operational success of our properties, while providing exceptional resident service and maintaining a safe and well-maintained living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Administer leasing procedures to meet or exceed budgeted occupancy and rental rate goals, control expenses through inventory control and purchasing procedures, accurately and timely report payroll, collect rent, and initiate Unlawful Detainer process when necessary.
  • Staff Management: Interview and screen potential on-site employees, train and motivate employees by communicating company philosophy, policies, and procedures, conduct orientation for on-site employees, and encourage continued education.
  • Property Appearance and Upkeep: Maintain the property in a neat, clean, and well-maintained condition, ensure preventative maintenance schedules are met, and conduct daily exterior and interior inspections to assure curb appeal, maintenance, cleanliness, and security procedures are being followed.
  • Customer Service: Maintain the property by meeting company standards for resident satisfaction, ensure a responsible person is available for building emergencies at all times, and accurately prepare and process all leasing forms, maintenance orders, rent collection, and company reporting.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred.
  • Experience: One to three years of residential management or related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Physical and Cognitive Abilities: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, and ability to be insurable at standard rates for driving.
