Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business strategies and long-term goals, and provide HR expertise to inform decision-making.
  • Workforce Planning: Develop and implement short and long-term workforce plans to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Talent Acquisition: Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, and collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Employee Relations: Mentor, support, and guide HR team members to resolve employee and/or labor relations issues, and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations in cases of grievances, harassment, allegations of wrongdoing, terminations, and employee concerns or EEOC issues.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, and review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Performance Management: Evaluate employee performance and appraise their pay scale accordingly.
  • Employee Development: Create employee engagement plans, obtain necessary budget approval, and initiate activities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Document Management: Supervise and review official internal documents, such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips, and warning letters, produced by HR team members.
  • Policy Development: Advise supervisors and managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Investigations: Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Leave Management: Lead and supervise FMLA, including gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related degree required, advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 10+ years' experience leading the Human Resources functions, such as Talent Management, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Hourly Employee and Labor Relations, Safety and Compensation and Benefits required.
  • Manufacturing Experience: 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing facility required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communications skills, proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
