Position Overview:

The Senior Medical Director for the Primary Care, Preventive Care, & Walk-In Clinic Service Line is a pivotal role that embodies the leadership of healthcare professionals within the Peaks Region. This position is designed for a physician leader who will collaborate closely with a service line director to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Leadership and Collaboration:**
- Guide physicians and advanced practitioners in establishing care models that prioritize patient needs and uphold the principles of exceptional care, including quality, safety, and patient experience.
- Ensure the implementation of evidence-based clinical standards across the region.

2. **Innovative Care Delivery:**
- Spearhead the development of innovative care delivery models, working in conjunction with Enterprise Clinical Programs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and develop standards for high-functioning clinical teams.

3. **Engagement and Satisfaction:**
- Create an environment that enhances the engagement and professional satisfaction of physicians and advanced practitioners.

4. **Workforce Planning and Recruitment:**
- Oversee workforce planning for the service line, identifying optimal care delivery methods across the region.
- Lead the recruitment efforts for specialists, collaborating with key stakeholders to develop an annual recruitment strategy.

5. **Quality and Performance Metrics:**
- Drive results for essential quality, experience, cost, and utilization metrics.
- Communicate effectively with boards and stakeholders regarding the successes of the clinical program.

Qualifications:

- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution.
- Completed residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related fields.
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
- Active medical licensure or in the process of obtaining it.
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience and leadership in healthcare settings.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in complex health systems.
- Proven leadership capabilities in clinical environments.
- Certification in healthcare communication or related fields.
