Position Overview: We are currently seeking an Energy Manager to spearhead our energy management initiatives for a key government agency. This role is vital in a team dedicated to delivering a broad spectrum of operational support services, including facility management, maintenance, logistics, and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for all energy management services at designated government facilities.
  • Oversee the energy management program and water conservation initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a Strategic Energy and Water Management Plan (SEWMP) to guide efforts toward efficiency and sustainability.
  • Implement a comprehensive Energy and Water Conservation Plan (EWCP) tailored to the agency's needs.
  • Conduct monitoring and analysis of energy and water usage, providing insights and recommendations for cost reduction and performance enhancement.
  • Ensure all energy management services align with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to promote effective collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Regularly engage with stakeholders to discuss operational performance, schedules, and budgets.
  • Develop corrective action plans as necessary to maintain service levels in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to stakeholders and higher management.
  • Maintain discipline and professionalism among staff, addressing any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy and resource management across multiple facilities.
  • Current certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (e.g., LEED Green Associate or LEED AP O+M).
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from a recognized organization.
  • Familiarity with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing personnel in both direct and subcontractor roles.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and experience under the Service Contract Act is preferred.
  • Expertise in budgeting, planning, and operational management is desired.
  • Technical proficiency in facilities maintenance and operations is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
