Position Title: Energy Manager (NGA)

Position Overview:

EMCOR Government Services is in search of an Energy Manager to spearhead our energy management initiatives in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role is vital in a team dedicated to delivering a variety of operational support services, including facility management, maintenance, logistics, and project oversight across multiple NGA locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison for all energy management service requirements at NGA facilities.
  • Key tasks include:
    • Overseeing the energy management and water conservation programs in compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Planning and maintaining a Strategic Energy and Water Management Plan (SEWMP) to enhance energy and water efficiency.
    • Creating and managing a comprehensive Energy and Water Conservation Plan (EWCP).
    • Tracking energy and water usage, conducting trend analyses, and providing recommendations for cost reduction and performance optimization.
  • Ensure energy management services align with contract expectations and quality standards.
  • Foster effective relationships with clients to support a collaborative business environment.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review operational performance and project timelines.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans when necessary to meet service requirements.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to clients and higher management.
  • Maintain discipline and order among staff, addressing any issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in energy and resource management, particularly across multiple facilities.
  • Current U.S. Green Building Council certification as either:
    • LEED Green Associate; or
    • LEED Accredited Professional (AP) in Operations and Maintenance (LEED AP O+M).
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from a recognized organization.
  • Experience with ARCHIBUS Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing both in-house and subcontractor personnel.
  • Familiarity with labor unions and managing service employees under the Service Contract Act.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning, procurement, and project management is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of facility maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
