Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Power Systems, is looking for an Overhead Crane Service Specialist to support our operations.

Position Overview

The Overhead Crane Service Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and conducting routine maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists.

This role involves working directly at customer sites, often in collaboration with a partner, and requires travel to various locations, including potential overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead bridge cranes and hoists.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment.
  • Assess functionality, propose solutions, and recommend necessary repairs, methods, and techniques.
  • Build and maintain customer trust through timely responses and effective communication regarding issues and solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams on repair and safety matters.
  • Document service and installation activities accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform additional skilled or unskilled tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with similar equipment in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Basic mechanical skills and electrical troubleshooting abilities are essential; advanced skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with NEC, CMAA, OSHA, and ASME standards is preferred.
  • Must meet DOT requirements for driver qualifications and safety compliance.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including working in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Experience mentoring junior technicians is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $30.00 to $42.00, based on experience and education, along with a $250 annual tool reimbursement.

This full-time role is eligible for the company's incentive program, paid time off, 401k, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
