**Position Overview**
The Crane Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and conducting routine maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists. This role involves working on-site at customer facilities, often in collaboration with a partner technician, and may require travel to various locations, including overnight stays. The position reports to the Crane Field Service Supervisor.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnose, repair, and inspect overhead bridge cranes and hoists.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Assess functionality, identify solutions, and recommend necessary repairs, methods, and techniques.
- Build and maintain customer trust through timely responses, clear communication of issues and solutions, and efficient job completion.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams on repair and safety matters.
- Accurately document service and installation activities using forms, reports, and checklists.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform additional skilled or unskilled tasks as needed.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience with similar equipment in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Basic mechanical skills and electrical troubleshooting abilities; advanced skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of NEC/CMAA/OSHA/ASME standards preferred.
- Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred.
- Must meet DOT requirements for driver qualifications and safety compliance.
- Medically qualified through a DOT examination initially and every 24 months thereafter.
- Willingness to travel within the state and out-of-town as necessary.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and heights.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings.
- Experience mentoring junior technicians or trainees is preferred.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The hourly wage for this position is $42.00, with an annual tool reimbursement of $250. Compensation is based on experience and education and may vary. This full-time role is eligible for the company's short-term incentive program, paid time off, 401k, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
