Job Summary

Mid Michigan Recovery Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing assessments, education, and individual and group counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, as well as education and didactic group sessions
  • Collaborate with clients, other program staff, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and make recommendations for scope and duration of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including intakes, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Participate in clinical group supervision, staff meetings, and other agency activities as requested
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (CAADC) credential through MCBAP
  • Licensed by the State of Michigan
  • One year experience working with individuals with substance use disorders preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
