Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Prevention Mental Health Therapist to join our Youth Engagement Services team. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field, and at least five years of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance and their families.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with local system partners to increase access points and mechanisms for youth at risk of suicide, substance use, and other disorders.
• Provide prevention activities for youth, parents, and community partners, including skill-based groups, internal and external training, and workshops on topics such as suicide prevention, mental health services, and substance use.
• Participate in community fairs, events, and outreach activities related to youth mental health and prevention topics.
• Complete intake assessments to help families access services.
• Ensure all program activities align with the CMHA-CEI mission, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field.
• Possession of an appropriate State of MI credential or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Five years of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance and their families.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation for job-related use.

Conditional Employment Requirement:
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure, including a Michigan State Police clearance check, Central Registry Screening, and verification of a professional license.

Salary/Hours:
$58,843-$66,788 annually, with scheduled annual increases and potential for a salary of $77,230.
