Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Medical Assistants to join our team and contribute to our vision and strategy for growth. As a Medical Assistant at Bare Dermatology, you will provide assistance to our physicians and advanced practitioners in multiple settings, including clinics and surgical settings. Your role will be essential in delivering uncompromised clinical care and ensuring a fantastic patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional patient care
  • Serve as a patient advocate during exams and treatments
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Obtain medical histories and chart patient information
  • Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to treatment
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Explain treatment plans and physicians' instructions to patients
  • Manage pathology logs and inform patients of biopsy results
  • Return patient calls and answer questions under physician direction
  • Assist with procedures such as biopsies, skin surgeries, and cosmetic procedures
  • Authorize medication refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
  • Manage paperwork and assist patients with obtaining biologic medications
  • Manage Ipledge and isotretinoin prescriptions
  • Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Inventory management and stocking
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Medical Assistant: 2+ years (Preferred)
  • EMR: 2+ years (Preferred)
  • Dermatology: 2+ years (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Dermatology Tech (Preferred)
