Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist to join our team at NextCare Urgent Care in Dallas, TX.
About the Role
The Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist is a dual role that involves providing exceptional patient care and supporting front office functions. As a Medical Assistant, you will perform patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting. As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, processing patients for discharge, collecting payment, and issuing receipts.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing patient care duties under the Medical Assistant scope of practice
- Supporting front office functions, including processing patients for discharge and collecting payment
- Ensuring the clinic and front reception area are running smoothly and patient flow is optimized
- Providing patient care services in the back office medical setting
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program
- Certification is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service
