Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our growing team in San Francisco. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise processing of invoices, payables, and billings for various construction projects. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Timely process invoices, payables, and billings to ensure seamless cash flow management.
  • Vendor Invoicing: Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and retention requests with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lien Information: Input and maintain preliminary lien information to mitigate potential risks.
  • Accounts Receivable: Collect subcontractor, vendor, and supplier lien releases to optimize cash flow.
  • Deficiency Holds: Prepare and submit deficiency hold notices to address any discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction accounting.
  • Subcontractor Management: Thorough understanding of tracking, paying, managing, and working with subcontractors.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in construction-based accounting software, preferably Viewpoint or CMIC.
  • Budgeting and Billings: Experience with budgets, monthly billings, change orders, contracts, lien waivers, and insurance.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $100,000 to $120,000, based on skills, experience, and location.
