About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead our New Shepard Launch Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and successful launch of our New Shepard spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of system-level solutions for New Shepard launch operations, including ground system hardware, software, and launch procedures.
  • Define and manage system-level requirements, ensuring compliance with human flight certification standards.
  • Develop and maintain system engineering artifacts, including requirements, design documents, and test plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and components.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in systems engineering, including requirements management, design, and testing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with requirement management tools, such as DOORS.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry safety standards and verification methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • M.S. degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in reliability engineering and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic fluid systems and high-pressure gaseous systems.
  • Experience with avionics signal/power test and launch operation equipment.
  • Experience with RF communication systems for launch vehicles.
