About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the systems engineering disciplines and associated scope required to certify the New Glenn launch vehicle in direct support of the National Security Space Launch program.
  • Provide leadership in achieving the required certifications for providing launch services for critical national security payloads.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships across the New Glenn program and our US government partner at the US Space Force.
  • Develop, review, and provide certification products, including design, analysis, qualification test data, drawings, reports, etc.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or an equivalent technical management field.
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering V - including requirements development, verification plans, and V&V closure.
  • Desired understanding of system safety products, including fault trees, functional hazard assessments, hazard sheets, and/or other related systems safety tools.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) with large-scale, development aerospace program.
  • Solid understanding of project management and resource planning practices.
  • Experience with customer certification or mission assurance practices.
