At Northeast Family Services, we are expanding our delivery service to include Family Peer Supporter for children, adolescents, and their families. This innovative new service empowers families to lead the treatment team for their loved ones. We are seeking dynamic individuals with lived experiences as caregivers for youth who have experienced behavioral or mental health struggles.

As a Family Peer Supporter, you will work closely with families in their homes and community, providing support and guidance to help them navigate the mental health system. You will use your lived experience to help families access resources, learn new ways to advocate for themselves and their families, and provide emotional support. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Clinician and support the family throughout their journey with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support and guidance to families in their homes and community
  • Helping families access resources and learn new ways to advocate for themselves
  • Working closely with the family and their Child and Family Team to ensure the parent/caregiver is empowered throughout the treatment process
  • Supporting and empowering the family throughout their journey with us

Qualifications:

  • Parent/caregiving experience for a youth who has had involvement with various agencies and institutions
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children, youth, and families
  • Valid driver's license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
