Battery Systems Design Engineer

At Tesla, we're pushing the boundaries of battery technology to create a more sustainable future. As a Battery Systems Design Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing the next generation of battery systems for our electric vehicles and energy storage products.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Design and develop battery systems that meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and specifications for battery systems
  • Develop and execute component and subsystem design validation plans and test methods
  • Work with systems engineering teams to ensure battery systems meet performance, schedule, cost, reliability, and quality targets


**Requirements:**
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design, preferably in the automotive or energy storage industry
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling, CATIA V5/6 a plus
  • Experience designing for high volume production and structural analysis
  • Understanding of material science and fabrication processes
  • Proficiency in GD&T and development of high-quality drawing packages
