Tesla Electrical Engineer Job Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Tesla, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems that are safe, efficient, and reliable.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Create experiments to push electrical systems to their limits and study the properties of electrical failures.
  • Root cause and recreate failure modes to drive algorithm development and coordination of system components.
  • Collaborate in the design and manufacturing of future products, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain electrical system documentation, including technical specifications, test procedures, and design guidelines.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferably Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • General electrical, thermal, and mechanical foundation, including mechatronics and embedded systems experience.
  • Automotive or grid-scale energy components or systems experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Expected Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from $84,000 to $234,000 per year, plus cash and stock awards and benefits.



Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.



The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
