As a Foreman, you will oversee the daily operations of your assigned team, ensuring that all personnel meet performance expectations and adhere to safety protocols. Your responsibilities will include:

Location: Manufacturing Facility

Compensation: $25-$40 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned team members, providing feedback and recommendations for promotions and transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, investigating incidents and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Maintain quality assurance by ensuring that all products meet specified requirements before shipment.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, administering disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Adjust job priorities based on production schedules, planning manpower needs to meet deadlines.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at cost reduction, quality enhancement, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Accurately report production and inventory data in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate training for new hires and existing employees acquiring new skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Promote a positive work environment by enhancing employee morale and encouraging participation in improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and maintain organized workspaces.
  • Manage supply requisitions to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Implement cost control measures and foster a culture of cost awareness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates possessing advanced education in manufacturing or engineering, along with supervisory experience.
  • Alternative qualifications include a minimum of three years in a supervisory role within manufacturing and five years of relevant industry experience.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Understanding of hazardous material safety and compliance with plant safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using personal protective equipment and precision measuring tools.
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts, including potential overtime.
Work Environment:
  • Most tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting.
  • Some responsibilities may take place in outdoor storage areas, which are not climate-controlled.
