Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Employee Relations Manager to join our team at Physician Affiliate Group of New York. This role will be responsible for providing labor and employee relations support to our affiliated facilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide labor and employee relations support to affiliated facilities, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement labor and employee relations strategies to promote a positive work environment and reduce legal risks.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relations and build morale.
  • Conduct regular updates and reports with internal leaders, including Affiliate Operations Officers, Corporate HR, and H+H partners.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to departmental leadership to ensure effective application of HR methodologies.
  • Work closely with Compensation and relevant partners to maintain job descriptions and facilitate reasonable accommodation requests.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to departmental leadership to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure employees complete appropriate trainings as provided by PAGNY and/or H+H.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, and/or Labor Relations.
  • 10+ years of related Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 5 years of prior Labor Relations experience.
  • Advanced HR certification(s) preferred.
  • Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize, and multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to develop strong, trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Extensive knowledge and practical application of Federal, State, and local laws with a solid understanding of the general body of laws surrounding Human Resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
