Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Duit Construction. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unemployment responses and I-9 audits
- Pay changes and back pay processing
- Equipment and asset requests management
- Audit and verification of new hire information
- DOT employment verification and drug testing record maintenance
- Cobra administration and benefits enrollment
- Termination processing and employee file updates
- Direct deposit and pay card information management
- Answering HR line calls and acting as a backup for company phone lines
Requirements:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience working in HR
- Construction industry HR experience preferred
- Previous experience working with HRIS systems
- Bilingual (Spanish) and PHR certification
