Job Title: Enterprise Systems Engineer

The Enterprise Systems Engineer is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in maintaining the design and integrity of program systems. This position involves overseeing the program's Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) at a client site, building scripts, providing expert technical assistance to team members, and building and patching servers (Linux and Windows).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy functional servers on Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Maintain system compliance with cyber security standards and practices
  • Monitor system performance and integrity
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery, etc.)
  • Communicate appropriately and professionally with users when needed
  • Maintain complete technical documentation
  • Suggest improvements to performance, capacity, and scalability
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of direct industry-related experience as a Mid-Level to Senior Systems Engineer; or have knowledge comparable to a Senior Systems Engineer/Architect with 5 years of experience
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards and frameworks
  • Professional certification(s) (e.g. - MCSE, CCNP, or CISSP)
  • Solid background in systems engineering and maintenance
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly ICMP, TCP/IP) and routing protocols
  • In-depth understanding of deploying Elasticsearch on Linux in a clustered environment
  • Familiarity with virtualization (ESXi, vCenter)
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Solid understanding of server operating systems (Ubuntu 18.04, Windows)
  • Knowledge in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field (or, at least 5 years of direct experience working as a network engineer)
  • Understanding of basic Cisco switching functions (configuring access and trunk ports)
Additional Requirements:
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with poly level of clearance and the ability to maintain clearance
  • The ability to work proficiently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, and carry at least 15lbs of equipment
