About the Role

FirstPRO, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management (ITSM) Tool Administrator to join our team. As a JIRA UI Administrator and Process Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ITSM tool suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • ITSM Tool Administration: Assist in managing all JIRA UI Admin tasks, including project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Process Standardization: Collaborate with scrum masters and program managers to standardize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Automation and Optimization: Work closely with scrum teams to identify and implement automation opportunities, optimize JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, and improve functionality to meet user requests.
  • Workflow Design and Implementation: Define and lead the rollout of comprehensive workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
  • Process Refining: Refine current Jira processes to be more streamlined and uniform for agile teams.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Drive results by troubleshooting issues, connecting with scrum masters, and improving support processes.
  • Automation Development: Develop mechanisms to automate manual processes.
  • JIRA Domain Expertise: Provide JIRA domain expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA.
  • Reporting and Dashboard Development: Help design Jira-based reports, dashboards, and planning views based on different user requirements.
  • Documentation and Training: Review standard operating procedures for repetitive tasks and activities, and manage technical and/or user-facing documentation for training.
  • Atlassian Product Suite Administration: Responsible for creating, managing, and supporting all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite, including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Technical Expertise: Exposure and some experience in REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs, and webhooks is an added advantage.
  • Process Governance: Assist in reviewing and contributing to establish processes and guidelines for delivery tools for agile.
  • Tool Adoption: Drive consistent use of tools in alignment with guidelines across the organization.
  • Methodology Champion: Champion modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and related practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of Atlassian suite of products and applications development and administrative experience, including JIRA, Confluence, Analytics, Assets, Product Data Manager tool, Automation, Script Runner, etc.
  • Overall Experience: Overall 2-4 years of experience in the IT field.
  • Technical Expertise: Exposure and some experience in REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs, and webhooks preferred.
  • Cloud Computing and Database Experience: Understanding and hands-on experience in Cloud computing environments, Databases, Servers, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
